LED Cyr Wheel, aerial acrobatics and The Flying Gentleman for corporate events
A show act at a corporate event has a clear job: it gives the evening a structure, offers guests a shared experience and fits the way the company presents itself. Oscar Kaufmann is a circus artist based in Berlin. His acts can be booked individually or combined into one programme. He has performed with Cirque du Soleil and at the Sydney Opera House, and for companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, Mary Kay, Jura and Herrenknecht.
LED Cyr Wheel: your brand in the light show
A Cyr Wheel with programmable LEDs, synchronised to music and stage lighting. The company logo, colours and patterns can be built directly into the light programme. That makes the act a good fit for product launches, anniversaries and as the highlight of a company gala. The programme is stored in the wheel and runs in sync automatically. In several hundred shows there has not been a single technical failure. The act needs dusk or a darkened room. Programming takes lead time, so it is worth enquiring early.
The Flying Gentleman: an opening with humour
A gentleman, his hat and a hat stand that takes off. The character act combines aerial acrobatics with humour that comes from movement and timing. It works without words, which makes it suitable for international guests. Oscar developed the apparatus himself, and the act exists in this form only once. Depending on the version it runs 4 to 12 minutes.

Aerial Straps: acrobatics above the guests
Powerful aerial acrobatics on two straps, carried by body tension alone. The act flies high and can still be experienced from close up. It suits venues with height, such as an atrium, an industrial hall, a theatre or a marquee, and runs 4 to 6 minutes.
Aerial acts without a rigging point: the free-standing rig
Many venues have no certified rigging point in the ceiling, for example hotel ballrooms, marquees, open-air sites or listed buildings. For these cases Oscar brings his own free-standing rig. It makes both Aerial Straps and The Flying Gentleman possible where nothing may be hung from the ceiling. Height, footprint and set-up time are agreed with the venue in advance.
Whips: for later in the evening
Precise whip work with a touch of Bond. The highlight is an olive whipped out of a martini glass without touching the glass. The act runs 4 minutes and works as a transition from dinner to party.
How the show fits into the evening
- Opening: The Flying Gentleman draws attention to the stage before the speeches begin.
- Between courses: Aerial Straps or The Flying Gentleman, 4 to 6 minutes that lift the dinner without upsetting the schedule.
- Highlight: the LED Cyr Wheel in a darkened room, for example before an award ceremony or a product reveal.
- Late evening: the whip act as a transition into the party.
Several acts can be combined in one evening, and package rates are available. For planners that means one contact, one journey and one thread running through the event.
